Wood, Moffitt, VanderBeek and Francis takes Checkers at Southern Iowa Speedway

OSKALOOSA, IA (July 11) - The Oskaloosa Chamber of Commerce sponsored the night of exciting racing action with the Casey’s General Stores USRA Weekly Racing Series in action.

In the MUSCO Lighting USRA A-Modifieds Zack Vanderbeek scored his second straight win in the Modifieds taking the lead from Ron VerBeek on lap five and lead the remainder ten laps for the win. Verbeek took the second spot followed by Scott Dickey in third and Brandon Banks in fourth.
In the USRA B-Modifieds Brett Moffitt of Grimes took the lead from Andrew Schroeder in the third lap and lead the final seven laps for the win. Schroeder took second followed by Mike Wanders took third and Ronnie Pumphrey took fourth.
In the USRA Stock Car feature Nathan Wood and Bert McDaniel thrilled the crowd with two-by-two action for all fifteen laps with the two drivers swapping the lead six different times with Wood taking the win. McDaniel took a close second with Zack Vanderbeek in third and Bobby Greene in fourth.
The final feature of the night was the USRA Hobby Stock feature with Wade Francis holding off several challenges for his second win of 2007 with Bill Gibson taking second followed by Danny Thrasher in third and Rick Landgrebe working his way from 17th starting spot and finished fourth.

Next week will be KBOE 104.9FM night at the Southern Iowa Fair with Five classes and all seats just $5.00 with the Casey’s General Stores USRA Weekly Racing Series with the Mid-America 305 Winged Sprints added onto the card for five exciting classes for the fair.
