KBOE 104.9FM NIGHT AT THE SOUTHERN IOWA FAIR WITH SIX EXCITING CLASSES IN ACTION

OSKALOOSA, IA (July 23) - The Southern Iowa Fair was held with KBOE 104.9FM your station for racing sponsoring the six exciting classes in action with the Casey’s General Stores USRA weekly racing series along with the long over due five year absence of the IMCA Derry Brother Summer Series Late Models making there return and dirt tracks on the card.

The USRA hobby stock feature went to Jason McDaniel of Eldon who took the lead from Don Nunnikhoven who lead till making contact in turn three and cut a right front tire ending his run and McDaniel took the win. The second spot went to Kevin Fee of Koxville and Danny Thrasher of Agency in third.

The Karl Chevrolet and Carter International USRA b-mods in action with Cory Brown leading the field to the green but Andrew Schroeder of Keswick would take the lead and the win with last weeks winner Brian Edel of Oskaloosa in second and Rick Landgrebe of Sigourney in third.

The IMCA Derry Brother Summer Series saw local racer TJ Criss of Osky power his 12J Rocket into the lead and would pace the field till lap 30 before Ray Guss Jr. would take the lead but race action would stop when Todd Cooney and Terry Neal making contact on the front-stretch forcing the red flag. Guss would take the win his second straight after winning on Tuesday night at the Davenport Speedway and pocketed $4000 in two nights of action. Boone McLaughlin would take the second spot with Criss taking a solid third place finish. In the MUSCO Lighting USRA A-mods Donovan Lodge of Moline, Il. Leading all sixteen laps holding of current point leader Ron Verbeek of Oskaloosa and third going to Colt Mather of Webster. In the Karl Chevrolet truck series Brett Moyer of Polk City took the win over the Moro’s with son Matt in second and father Tony in third.

The Karl Chevrolet USRA stocks cars saw Mike VanGenderen of Newton leading all but the final lap with Colt Mather of Webster making the pass after VanGenderen made contact in turn three with the wall and finished in second with Osky driver Corey Stout in third.

Next week will feature Nascar Night with Kenny Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Jimmy Spencer visiting the Speedway with the cars and stars of the USMTS modifieds along with the USRA hobby stocks, stock cars and B-mods on the card with hot laps at 7:15pm and racing action to follow.
