TWO NEW FACES IN VICTORY LANE AT SIS

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (July 28) - On Wednesday night the Casey’s General Stores USRA racing series with the four regular classes in action with only one repeat winner taking the checkers.

In the Karl Chevrolet USRA stock car division Shane Weller would take the checkers over Mike Vangenderen who tried several times but just couldn’t make the move. This was Weller’s second win at SIS in 2010 and fourth of the year. The third spot went to Kyle Harwood and TJ Henderson in fourth.

In the MUSCO Lighting USRA a-mods Josh Truman of Indianola finally put the bad luck behind him and took his first win at the Southern Iowa Speedway. Truman and Kalona driver Adam Bell battled for the lead before Truman distanced himself from the field and took the win. Ron Verbeek took the second spot with Bell in third and last weeks winner Steven Blattler in fourth.

The Carter Manufacturing b-mods saw Jason McDaniel pace the field and take the win over Drew Lawson with first time visitor Rocky Fosdyck in third and Mike Wanders in fourth.

The USRA hobby stock feature saw Donavan Nunnikhoven take the win but after post race inspection he was found to be illegal and was disqualified for the second time in 2010. After inspection it was found that the cylinder heads had been ported. This would give Todd Reitzler taking the win with Steve Allen in second followed by Dustin Griffiths in third and current point leader Derek Kirkland taking the fourth spot.

Next week will be a regular night of action and reminder that no racing on Wednesday August 11th due to sprint week.
