Donnellson Readies for Second Sprint Invader Round of 2006

BURLINGTON, Ia (May 15, 2006) – The fifth round of the 22-event Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invader schedule will see the series return to the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa for the second of five visits in2006.

Matt Sutton won the first go-round at Lee County, as he captured his first career Sprint Invaders victory back on April 21. The Macomb, Ill. driver holds a28-point advantage over Korey Weyant in the series standings as the schedule nears the one-quarter mark. Weyant enters the Lee County event after posting a runner-up showing to Jerrod Hull at the last series stop in Lincoln, Ill. Nick Eastin is 44 points back in third, while Ryan Jamison and Brian Hetrick sit in the back half of the top five.

Friday’s Lee County Bank & Trust-sponsored show will mark the eighteenth appearance in series history at the 3/8-mile facility. Eight different winners have found victory lane in the last nine outings. Terry McCarl was the last man to repeat back in July and September of 2003.

Jeff Mitrisin will look to continue a strong early-season start after posting a second-place effort in the Knoxville 360 feature this past weekend. “TheMagician” owns an Invaders victory at Donnellson back in September of 2005. Other past Donnellson inners
include John Schulz, Jake Peters, Randy Martin, Jerrod Hull, Billy Alley, Skip Jackson, Jesse Gianetto, Jeff Nehring, and Bobby Hawks.
