The URSS Kicks Off The 2007 Season With A Double Dose of 
Racing Action

OBERLIN, KS (April 25) - The United Rebel Sprint Series is ready to return to 
the track for the 2007 Season. With an influx of new and veteran drivers, the 
URSS starts it’s Sophomore Season poised to become the Midwest’s Premiere 305 
Traveling Series. The 305 Traveling Series will appear at 14 Racing Venues in 
Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska with a 23 Race Date schedule for the 2007 Season.
The 2007 Racing Season kicks off Saturday, May 5th in Oberlin, Kansas with a 
return visit to the 3/8’s mile high banks of the Oberlin Speedway. Cody Salem 
will make his return to the drivers seat for car owner John Tyrrell, both 
Oberlin natives are returning to their roots and will try to take home the 
Winners Trophy to start off their first Season for the Flying Angels Racing 
Team. Also making his URRS Debut is Todd Johnson of Norcatur, driving for car 
owner Gene Gallentine. The racing action kicks off at 7:30pm with Mod Lites of 
Colorado, Mini Trucks, and Classic Modifieds joining the URSS 305 Sprint Cars. 
The Oberlin Speedway is located at the Decatur County Fairgrounds, just west of 
the US 83 and US 36 Junction. 
The racing action continues Sunday night, May 6th as the URSS makes its series 
debut at the Dawson County Raceway in Lexington, Nebraska. The URSS Sprint Cars 
will join the regular show at the lightning fast 3/8’s mile Speedway featuring 
IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car and IMCA Hobby Stock to kick off their 2007 Racing 
Season. Having a new venue like Dawson County Raceway is vital to the growth of 
the URSS Series and gives the Nebraska Drivers in the Series a chance to race 
with their hometown fans packing the stands. Look for the fans of Doug Roth, 
Bill Hays, Tommy Williams and Tom Belsky to raise the roof as they cheer on 
their hometown racers. Gates will open at 5 PM, Central Time, with racing 
starting at 7 PM, Central Time. Dawson County Raceway is on the Dawson County 
Fairgrounds along U.S. Highway 283, 2 miles north of the Lexington/I-80 
interchange, exit 237.
