O'Reilly ASCoT Driver Stats Entering Sedalia

TULSA, Okla. (July 3, 2007) – The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series is set to tackle Sedalia's Missouri State Fair Speedway on Tuesday night, with ensuing "Show-Me Showdown" stops at Double X Speedway in California, MO, on Wednesday night for the First Annual Daniel McMillin Memorial and then the series first stop at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS, on Saturday night.

And with 20 nights of action in the books for the 2007 season, perhaps the driver entering this week's triple-header with the hottest hand is Jason Johnson of Eunice, LA, as "The Ragin' Cajun" has topped four of the series last six feature events.

A look at the series driver stats for the season reveals that as well, with Johnson climbing to the top of the win charts in both heat races and pole dashes while matching Gary Wright's six feature wins. Johnson has also taken over the Feature Laps led category as well.

But Gary Wright still sits atop the category that pays; the $50,000 championship points chase. Wright holds a meager six point lead over Wayne Johnson, with Jason Johnson just 31 points out of the lead.

The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series is currently slated for 44 nights of racing action at 23 different tracks throughout 15 different states, with more than $1,000,000 in purse money and point fund to be distributed during the 2007 season.

The 2007 season marks the 16th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series. With 13 different Regions in addition to the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series, ASCS will sanction approximately 240 nights of racing at more than 100 different race tracks throughout at least 30 different states and Canada.
