John Hall finishes 18th at Mid-Season Championship
by Stacy Ervin

MARION, IOWA (June 28) - John Hall and the Left Turn Enterprises racing team posted an 18th place finish in the Mid-Season Championship main event for 360 sprint cars at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, June 28.

The night started off on a decent note with a good draw for starting position in the heat race and hot-lap times in the middle of the pack of
27 competitors. Hall started fourth and finished fourth in his heat race, which was a feat considering it was a race packed with 10 of the strongest weekly competitors.

That amassed enough points for him to make the top 16 and transfer automatically to the night's A feature. Unfortunately, he missed the night's invert of 12 by one spot, so instead of starting from the pole position of the main, he was relegated to starting from 13th on the grid.

Hall's starting spot improved though by virtue of a six-car pileup on the first lap of the main event. Fortunately, he had the quick reflexes to avoid cars that were flipping and spinning out all across the track's second turn. When the dust settled and the field lined up again, he found himself starting from eighth spot.

However, troubles with the setup of the car continued to plague the team and Hall called his evening finished after nine of the scheduled 20 laps in the main. He was credited with an 18th place finish.

The team plans to be in action again over the upcoming holiday weekend.
The car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall. Crew members are Darrell Bonesteel, Cole Page, Cass Page and Steve Lindell.

Sponsors include Maxim Racing, Parker Engines, APC Emmert Metal Fabricators, Super Shox, Chalk Stix Torsion Bars, Marion Dairy Queen, Brake Man Brake Systems, Thompson Aero Service and Seal-It International.

The team is actively seeking additional funding to help with its racing effort.
