John Hall continues Knoxville competition
by: Stacy Ervin

MARION, IOWA (July 19, 2008)--John Hall and the Left Turn Enterprises racing team continued to work on solving mechanical problems which have been a staple of the season when they competed in the Knoxville Championship Cup Series event at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa on Saturday, July 19.

Hall started the night off with promising hot-lap times which saw him sixth out of the 17 competitors in his flight and 18th out of 32 competitors overall in the 360 division. He drew a fifth starting position in his heat race, but it was the first race of the night, meaning the track was less conducive to passing. He was able to keep a much better pace than he had in several weeks, but lost one spot to finish sixth.

That started him sixth in the night's consolation race. At the start, Hall looked competitive, even racing other drivers three-wide into Knoxville's daunting third turn and coming out ahead of them. But an overheated motor forced him back to the pit area after only five of the scheduled 10 laps.

The team will continue to work out the problems and be ready to compete next Saturday, July 26, at the Sprint Car Capital of the World in Knoxville.

The race car is owned by Charles and Doris Hall. Crew members are Darrell Bonesteel, Cole Page, Cass Page and Steve Lindell. Regular sponsors include Maxim Racing, Parker Engines, APC Emmert Metal Fabricators, Super Shox, Chalk Stix Torsion Bars, Marion Dairy Queen, Brake Man Brake Systems, Thompson Aero Service and Seal-It International.

The team is actively seeking additional funding to help with its racing effort.
