John Hall Racing gets lots of valuable track time
by:  Stacy Ervin

MARION, IOWA (May 30, 2010) - John Hall and his Left Turn Enterprises racing team got lots of track time and made it pay off at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, May 29.

Some new ideas on the setup of the car were put to the test this week and really got the team on the right track heading into summer. Hall started the night off with a qualifying lap of 16.433 seconds around the hallowed half-mile dirt race track, good for 12th of the night's 26 competitors. That put him third to start his heat race. A bit of a rough start in the seven-lap event saw him fall back through the field. When three competitors in front of him began to mix it up, Hall closed on them, but ran out of time and room on the race track, finishing sixth and one spot out of the transfer to the A-main.

He then started third in the B-main and was able to make the transfer to the start in the back row of the main event. The 15-lap A feature was a race filled with drama and near misses throughout the field, but Hall was able to finish all the laps, earn a 16th-place run and get a lot of good information about the car's handling to share with his team.

The Memorial Day weekend race program started off what will be an important summer of racing. Competitors and fans at Knoxville Raceway, along with many other tracks around the country, were racing with their minds on Jesse Hockett, a young sprint-car champion from Missouri who lost his life in a freak accident earlier in the week.

The action continues to heat up this week. Knoxville's Championship Cup Series 360 division will be in action again Saturday, June 5, on a big weekend which will also include the World of Outlaws sprint car series, the Masters Classic race and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.

Car owners are Charles and Doris Hall. Crew members are Darrell Bonesteel, Steve Lindell, Cass Page and Cole Page. Sponsors include APC Emmert Metal Fabricators, Thompson Aero Service, Marion Dairy Queen, Brake Man Brake Systems, Chalk Stix Torsion Bars, Team Enterprises, Parker Engines and Butler Built Seat Systems.

The team continues to actively seek funding for its 2010 efforts. New sponsorship at all levels is welcome for the season, partial season or even a one-race opportunity. John Hall Racing now has T-shirts available for purchase, as well.

The team's website at www.johnhallracing.com contains more information.

And a “John Hall Racing #7H” fan page has been created for those on Facebook and provides updates on race nights. For more information, contact Stacy Ervin, public-relations coordinator, at stacyerv@Lcom.net or 319-330-6849.
