USMTS FORMS MARKETING PARTNERSHIP WITH CASEY’S GENERAL STORES

ANKENY, Iowa (Jan. 30) — A marketing partnership was finalized today between the United States Modified Touring Series and Casey’s General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY), which owns and operates more than 1,450 convenience stores in nine Midwestern states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

As part of the agreement, Casey's General Stores will become the Title Sponsor of “The Hunt for the O’Reilly USMTS National Championship” and four O’Reilly USMTS National Tour events. Furthermore, Casey’s General Stores will be designated the Official Convenience Store of the USMTS, with marketing objectives to drive incremental sales at Casey’s General Stores retail locations and execute brand reinforcement at O’Reilly USMTS National Tour events, including driver sponsorships and appearances.

“We are both excited and honored today to announce this deal with Casey’s General Stores,” said USMTS president Todd Staley. “We have been fortunate to work with the great people at Casey’s over the last couple of years, and we’re looking forward to getting to work on executing the plan we’ve put in place.”

Casey’s General Stores supplies quality self-service gasoline, made-from-scratch pizza and donuts, sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, grocery items and a whole lot more – primarily in smaller communities with populations of less than 5,000. It’s in these same towns where the majority of USMTS fans, drivers and their families reside.

“Casey’s General Stores is proud to be associated with the USMTS,” said Vice President of Marketing Mike Richardson. “The partnership fits very well within our marketing objectives. Many of the USMTS stops are located within our nine state marketing area.”

The Hunt for the O’Reilly USMTS National Championship will be comprised of the final 14-18 races of the season which will determine the 2008 O’Reilly USMTS National Champion. For fans, the ‘The Hunt’ serves as a “playoff” for the O’Reilly USMTS National Championship that brings added excitement to the ongoing points battle.

“Casey’s General Stores and their associated vendors will have a direct link to USMTS fans via on-site marketing and product placement opportunities, through activation of dedicated promotions, or by integrating USMTS events into existing promotions,” said USMTS Communications & Marketing Director Jeff Nun. “This is an important moment for the USMTS, and Casey’s General Stores’ involvement will help propel the series to new heights and allow us to achieve some goals that would not be possible without their support.”

But it doesn’t end there. In what may be a first in motorsports, the agreement also directly impacts drivers as Casey’s General Stores and their associated vendors will become the primary sponsor of five top-level O’Reilly USMTS National Tour competitors for ten select events each (50 races total). As such, Casey’s will benefit through appearances by these drivers at local Casey’s locations, as well as related branded spin-off merchandise such as apparel, die-cast, autograph cards, coupons, websites and a powerful media impression.

“A big part of what we wanted to accomplish with this program was to deliver sponsorship dollars to our drivers,” Staley added. “The competitors who strap on their helmets to entertain our fans are our marketing partners too – we’re nothing without them. This is just another step in strengthening our family of drivers and fans.”

Each driver will utilize a branded driving suit during their sponsorship period. While all five drivers will be among the most loyal USMTS drivers over the past decade, they’ll also be among the fan favorites. Each driver’s racecar will be professionally detailed with the latest vehicle wrap technology to give a bright, multi-colored and stand-out appearance. Selected drivers will be announced soon.

The USMTS will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season in 2008 with many special promotions to show thanks to the fans, drivers, team members, families and sponsors who have helped make the USMTS the premier dirt modified series in the nation. More announcements about the 2008 season will be forthcoming over the next few weeks.
