$10,555 up for grabs in the 8th annual Slocum 50 Super Late Model race this Saturday a 34 Raceway

BURLINGTON, IOWA (April 11, 2016) – Well it looks like Mother Nature wants to go racing with beautiful weather forecast for this Saturday night, April 16, and the running of the 8th Annual Slocum 50.

Weather forced postponement of the National Sprint League race scheduled for last Saturday. 34 Raceway and the NSL League hopes to find a date to reschedule the race so watch for further updates.

But this Saturday the weather looks good for the annual Slocum 50 event that not only brings in a grandstand full of fans but some of the best in late model racing.  The Slocum 50 race is co-sanctioned by MARS, Corn Belt Clash and the American Late Model Series

In 2015 thirty-eight late models competed for a spot in the 50 lap main event gunning for the big prize in front of a full stands. Ryan Unzinker made a last lap pass  that brought the fans to their feet to take home the prize.

This year won’t disappoint with drivers such as Brian Birkhofer, Bobby Pierce, Ryan Unzicker, Tony Jackson Jr, Chad Simpson, Chris Simpson, Brian Shirley, Shannon Babb, Jason Feger, Kevin Weaver and more committed to put on a show for the fans.

Pit gates open at 3, grandstands 5, time trials 6:15 and racing to follow.
