WINSTON, MO (Septmeber 30, 2017) –   Opening ceremonies at I-35 Speedway would set the stage for a night of great racing action as our drivers and crews would present our Nations Colors on the front straight as all would stand for the Invocation and National Anthem! God Bless America!

E-Modified would start the night and see Manlee Lamar #4M take the lead with heat winner Randy Smith Jr #75X in tow.  Smith would make his move early to take the lead and never relinquish and stand tall in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle.  Current point leader Smith would hold off the late charge to the front by other heat winner Chris Mercer #13, who would come from a tenth starting spot to place second. Lamar would fade to third with the #14 of Gary Ainsworth a solid fourth on the feature. Jim Masoner Jr would race to the front rounding out the night’s top five.

Grand National would charge to the fast smooth 3/8th mile of dirt next and see Chad Fuller #0R lead every lap of the feature to claim the win. John Brown #36J would again show poise and power as he would place second with Billie Hoover #97 coming home third. Fourth place would go to heat winner and current point leader Donnie Brown #26 with Tyler Miller #6 rounding out the top five finishers.

#0R “Bad” Chad Fuller from Savannah, MO Grand National Feature Winner!

Show-Me Vintage Racers would be in attendance with a large car count of quality drivers for this night of action. Allen Guthrie #21 would launch to the front from the drop of the green and appear to be the class of the field until Leroy
Holler #29 would work through the pack and take the top spot. Heat winner Holler would not be denied and claim the checkers and the win. Guthrie would settle for second with other heat winner Houston Johnson #20 working through the field of competitors to place third. Fourth would see the #01 of Steve Hughs with Jeremy Turner #11 placing a solid and impressive fifth place.

#29 Leroy Holler Show-Me Vintage Feature Winner!

Pure Stock would see a locked and loaded field of competitors as heat race winner Ron Hill #72 would set the pace early. Hill would pull out front and never look back as he would lead every lap on his way to McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle at I-35 Speedway for the first time this 2017 season. Hill would be challenged late by current point leader Cletus Murray #21m who would place second to Hill on this night. Third would see Beau Wells put the #555 to the front with Kerry Ayres #99A impressing again with a solid fourth place showing. Wray would hold tight to the top of the track with Heeter searching to get the front as the laps would wind down. As the white was shown signifying one more lap Heeter would make his move on the inside off of turn four and race Wray to the line coming up a little short as Wray would pick up his 18th win of the 2017 racing season at I-35 Speedway.  Heeter would finish second by less than half a car length with Mitch Hovden #15 a very close third place. As Hicks would celebrate in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle, Martin would place second with current point leader Dennis Elliott #29 a very close third.
