34 Raceway announces double features April 21 (Occupy Hunger Night) courtesy of mother nature

WEST BURLINGTON, IA (April 19, 2012) – Threatening weather to the west all day long finally reached 34 Raceway around 8:30 last Saturday night forcing the cancellation of the Doc 360 Sprint Invaders and IMCA Modified Special. Heat races for sprints, modifieds, stock cars and hobby stocks were complete and the Sprint Invader B features were taking to the track when rain began to fall. Heavy rain and lightning then forced the track to cancel the nights racing action.
This coming Saturday, April 21, Occupy Hunger Night and 305 Sprint Shootout ($1000 to win) at 34 Raceway will see double features for the classes that were rained out April 14 with the exception of the Invaders. The Sprint Invaders make up (B features and feature) will be held when they return to 34 Raceway on July 3.
Bring a canned food item or personal hygiene item and receive $1 off grandstand admission tickets (Limit $1 off per person) on Occupy Hunger Night at 34 Raceway this Saturday. Bring as many food items as possible to help out the local food pantries.
There will be lots of racing action with double features for the Coors Silver Bullet IMCA Modifieds ($1000 to win first feature) , Mike’s Auto Parts IMCA Stock Cars and 34 Hobby Stocks. (Note, only the drivers participating in the April 14 event will be allowed to run the first features of the night in their class). Also running besides the
305 sprints, modifieds, stock cars and hobby stocks will be the Louisa Communications-I-Wireless 4 Cylinders for a full night of racing excitement.
Thanks to those fans who braved the weather last weekend to show support for the Sprint Invaders, Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks. In appreciation for your attendance, even though we ran 2/3+ of the event, we are offering a $5 discount if you turn your ticket in from the 4/14 event for a discount this weekend 4/21 or the next Sprint Invader event on 7/3. Double features plus double payouts on both of these nights.
