WaKeeney Speedway hosts fifth annual Spring Fling this Sunday

WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 26) – WaKeeney Speedway hosts its fifth annual Spring Fling special this Sunday, March 29.

The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot-qualifying feature for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modi­fieds pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $125 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $750 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win. Mach-1 Sport Compacts complete the program, running for a top check of $200.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, re­gional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded in all divisions.

Pit gates open at noon and the grandstand opens at 1 p.m. Hot laps follow the 2 p.m. drivers’ meet­ing and racing starts at 3 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30. There is a one-time track registration fee of $25 for all cars.
