After last weeks rainout,the 2nd night of points racing was held at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon .

LEBANON, MO (April 21, 2012) – In the Factory Stock feature past track champion Tim Petty started things off right in the first feature as he took the opening lead from Jerry Unger with Shawn Clay and Dale Berry close behind.While Petty was leading and Unger second,Lebanon’s Brian Schutt moved up to thitrd place by lap 3 and then into second place the next lap.Opening night winner Bob Gustin was rallying from deep in the pack and moved into third place. Lap 6 proved to be a wild lap as several cars went around including Brandon Waters,Unger,Andrew Roarik and Dale Berry.On the restart,Petty was ending off Gustin as the two past champions went for the lead as Schutt was holding third place.Petty would grab the win as Schutt got around Gustin to move himself into the second place money and Gustin,Waters and Clay following in the top 5.

2 Time track champion Michael Stake grabbed the lead from other 2 time track champion Jason Otto on lap 3 of the B-modified feature as they went back and forth early.When Stake took the lead Ted Ballinger followed around Otto keeping things close as th 15 lap feature went caution free.The win was Stake’s first of the season as the Lebanon area resident was making his first points race of the season.Ted Ballinger,Jason Otto,a hard charging Brian Webster and Cody Nivens followed the winner across the finish.

The Pure Stock feature had plenty of racing action all around.The start of the race saw Larry Flaugher grab the lead with Bo Alexstates and defending champion Matt Young back and forth.Young moved into second place on lap 2 and begin to get closer to Flaugher while Jack Wood and Bill Allen raced for third place.Opening points night winner Rob White was working from row 5 through traffic as Woods good run went sour as the throttle hung open on his 55 Chevy and blasted the wall in turn 4 as the car caught on fire on lap 6.Young took over the lead from Flaugher as White grabbed second place on lap 8.Young would lead White until the final lap when White made the winning pass on the last lap to take the victory followed-up by Young,early leader Flaugher,Jim Alexstates and rookie Kaleb Starnes

In Midwest Modified feature racing,point leader Sam Petty saw his winning streak come to and end.The feature had Earl Muilenburg and Ben Newell on the front row as Petty was starting at the rear.Newell got the jump in JC Newell’s car while Mark Raymond held on to second place.Petty was moving quickly to the front when caution flew on lap 4 for Raymond.This placed Petty behind leader Ben Newell while   Travis Hill was a strong third place.The race between the duo was strong as Petty went to the front on lap 11.Petty was looking for another win with Newell applying pressure.On the final lap,Petty drove hard and went around on the final lap as Newell grabbed the win with Hill,Chris Cheever,Ted Ballinger Jr and rookie Billy Pierce comleted the top 5.

The Street Stock feature had defending titlest Joe Francis take the opening lead on lap 1,but it was all Mark Simon after lap 2 as the opening night winner in his Station wagon took his second win of the season.Francis,Melvin Smith,Karla Lampe and Matt Darnel followed in the top 5 as only 1 caution flew in the feature.
