CJ Speedway Races For June 30 Fall to Wet Grounds

| June 30, 2023

Columbus Junction, Iowa: Heavy rains on Thursday morning and the likelihood of more rain prior to the races scheduled for Friday, June 30th forced the officials of the CJ Speedway and the Lucas Oil MLRA to cancel Friday nights race program. Drivers were going to be traveling great distances to race at CJ which also played into making an early decision on this event.  Unfortunately the MLRA schedule is full for the remainder of the 23 season so the race will not be able to be made up but the MLRA officials are already working with the CJ Speedway to schedule a return to the 4/10 mile dirt track on the Louisa County Fairgrounds in 2024.

Regular weekly racing will return to the CJ Speedway on Friday, July 7th with a full program of racing in five IMCA divisions. Hot laps will get underway at 7 pm with racing to follow, in addition the fans will be treated to a Fireworks display following the final race of the night.
