Deadline Extended for Huge NCRA Mod and Sport Mod Openers!

PARK CITY, KS (March 13, 2013) – Officials and staff with 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas have announced the pre-entry deadline for the inaugural “Modified Spring Scramble” and the “Sport Mod Spring Scramble” featuring the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products has been extended.

The new pre-entry deadline, which was this coming Friday, March 15th, has now been extended to Tuesday, March 26th.

This April 5-6th event slated for 81 Speedway will see Saturday nights modified championship feature winner take home $5000 while the sport mod championship feature winner on Saturday night will take home $2000.

Pre entry fee for the modified division is $100 but MUST BE POST MARKED BY March 26, 2013. Late entry and/or entry on race day is $150. The sport mod pre entry fee is $75 but must also be post marked by March 26, 2013. Late entry and/or entry on race day is $125.

Yes, you can still enter after the March 26th deadline and even during race day. However, entry fee after the deadline for modifieds and sport mods will be $150 and $125 respectively. For the modified division: Official NCRA or USRA rules will be allowed and there is NO MIXING or rules. Gates will open on Friday night at 5:00 pm with racing set for a 7:30 pm start time. Championship Saturday night gates will also open at 5:00 pm with the start time moved to 7:00 pm. There will be an open practice session at the speedway on Thursday night, April 4th.

For the sport mods: Official NCRA southern sport mod or northern sport mod rules will be allowed and there is NO MIXING or rules. Gates will open on Friday night at 5:00 pm with racing set for a 7:30 pm start time. Championship Saturday night gates will also open at 5:00 pm with the start time moved to 7:00 pm.

Since 1971 the NCRA has sanctioned dirt track races across the Great Plains with the series currently sanctioning five other divisions. They include modifieds, southern sport modifieds, late models, 360 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and new mod lites. The 2013 season for the National Championship Racing Association is the 43rd anniversary season with races scheduled at sixteen different race tracks across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
