SPRINGFIELD, MO (July 27, 2012) – Officials with the Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, Kansas are pleased to announce the details for the upcoming Great American 305 Sprint Car Nationals on Saturday August 18th. It will be an unprecedented show with double points on the line for all URSS competitors. “To work with Rick Salem and the URSS to put this together is great for the fans, racers and our track,” commented Great American Dirt Track Owner Patrick Johnson. “This will be a great way to showcase a class of sprint cars which trace their roots back to the Great American Dirt Track. We certainly feel like our event purse and point implications will give this event a true national feel.”

The race will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to just start the feature. Full URSS rules will be in place over the course of the show. Mini Sprints and Sport Compacts will run in support of the Rebel Sprints. Currently, Jake Buback is out front in the chase for the 2012 URSS crown. Brian Herbert, Jeff Radcliffe and Brian Hardman are sitting just a handful of points apart in the second through fourth. Butch Hardman rounds out the top five national point earners thus far.
