IMCA Modifieds headline Spring Fling at WaKeeney

WaKEENEY, Kan. (March 18) – A $1,000 to win feature for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds headlines the annual Spring Fling spe­cial at WaKeeney Speedway this Saturday, March 23. 

The Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event pays a minimum of $100 to start. 

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $750 to win and a minimum of $100 to start their Dirt Track Central Goodland Machine Great Plains Se­ries feature. 

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $400 to win. Both those features pay a minimum of $50. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, re­gional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded in all divisions.

Pit gates open at noon and the grandstand opens at 1 p.m. Hot laps are at 2 p.m. and racing starts at 3 p.m. 

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $25. 

Test and tune is from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 22. In­clement weather date for the Spring Fling is Sunday, March 24.
