Lebanon I44 Speedway Announces Schedule-Season Opener April 26th.

Lebanon,Mo. (April 1, 2014) – The “High-Banks” of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway has released its 2014 Nascar Whelen All-American Series Schedule presented by Monster Energy with the most exciting schedule the track has had in several seasons as  21 scheduled nights of exciting Nascar Short-Track Racing are slated.

The only active Asphalt oval and Missouri’s only Nascar Sanctioned Short-Track will feature O’Reilly Auto Parts Pro Late Models, the Budweiser Ground Pounding Modifieds, Monster Energy Sportsman, Hoosier tire road Warriors and Coca-Cola Chargers almost each and every Saturday Night along with a limited schedule of Baby Grands.

The Speedway will host 3 scheduled Saturday Practices starting April 5th, April 12th and April 19th from 1 till 4PM. Grandstand and Wildside Admission is Free to the public to watch.

The Speedway’s first Nascar track point race will be held on Saturday April 26 as all 5 classes will be in action as drivers attempt to get the opening jump to become a Nascar Track Champion as Racing will begin at 6:30. Round number 2 of the Championship Chase is slated for May 3rd.

On Saturday May 10th, Nascar driver and commentator Kenny Wallace will be on hand to compete against the track’s regulars along with spending some time with the fans. For Kenny “Herman” Wallace, it will be his second time ever racing on the Missouri”High-Banks” as he was part of a Nascar Race Of Champions Event in the 90’s. Wallace is always entertaining as this will mark a rare Asphalt appearance in the Short-Track World.

The Big Event will following as on May 17th, the 2nd annual Mercy Of The Masters 144 will find the CRA/JEGS All-Stars coming in to challenge the I-44 Regulars in one of the highest paying Pro Late Model events in the United States. More details on the Grand Marshall and special guest will be coming soon. last season this event drew 40 entries as Young Chase Elliott took home the honors. Modifieds and 1 other class will serve as support racing while battling for track points.

The Monster Energy Chase for the Cup continues on May 24th and May 31st as drivers try to position themselves not only for Track honors, but also Nascar State and National Honors as racing will begin at 7PM

Saturday June 7th, The Budweiser Modifieds will duke it out in a special 50 lap feature event. With the pre-registrations looking upward in car count, this event will lend well worth the price of Admission. June 14th continues the Chase for the Cup and will allow the drivers a good tune-up night a week before a fan favorite event.

Saturday June 21st The Lebanon Chamber Of Commerce and I-44 Speedway will join efforts again in hosting Our Town Your Town. Last season this event packed the Speedway as family and friends were entertained with a great racing program at a very affordable price of $10 per Car Load.

Saturday June 28th finds the point battle getting tighter as the Chase for the Cup continues.

On Thursday July 3rd-Nascar Drivers and Personality Ken Schrader will be competing on the track and spending time with the fans as the Pro Late Models take to the High-Banks for 75 laps in the Remember 75 Special Presented by Sportsland Accessories in helping to remember Springfield’s Larry Phillips on his Birthday along with a full night of Racing and fireworks afterwards to start the Independence Holiday Weekend.

No racing scheduled on July 5th or 12th as the Laclede County Fair is in town, but on July 19th, The Modifieds return racing Action with a 50 lap Special event. The Monster Energy Sportsman cars get a 40 lap feature event on Aug 2nd  while the Pro Late Models take turns with a 50 lapper on Aug. 16th.

Starting in September, racing action starts at 6:30 as the drivers will hit the homestretch in the drive to the Championship. Late models will go 50 laps on Sept. 13 while the Season Championship will be held on September 20th and Twin Pro Late Model features help finish the season on a high note.

Sponsorship and special nights are still being added to the schedule as 2014 will truly be An Asphalt Kicking Season at Missouri’s only Nascar Sanctioned Track.
