Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models Set to Invade the Lee County Speedway on Thursday

Donnellson, IA (Saturday, April 29, 2017) – After mother nature claimed her fourth night in six scheduled nights on Friday, April 28th at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, the attention now turns to Thursday, May 4th. The Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models are set for their first of two visits to the track in 2017, with Robert’s Tire Center out of Burlington, Iowa helping to bring the action.

A $3,000 check awaits the winner of Thursday nights Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model feature. Some of the drivers the fans can expect include current points leader Rodney Sanders, Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, Tony Jackson Jr., Randy Timms, Scott Crigler, Payton Looney, Justin Asplin, JC Wyman, Cole Wells, Raymond Merrill, Matt Butler, Brantlee Gotschall, Joey Moriarty, Jimmy Mars, Chad Simpson, Chris Simpson. Plus locals likely to be there include Justin Reed, Denny Woodworth, Rickey Frankel, Jason Perry, Dustin Griffin, and many more.

Also in action on the night will be the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire & Service IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods, and Armstrong Tractor IMCA Sport Compacts. The Modifieds, Stock Cars, and SportMods will be racing for a top prize of $1,000 to win, while the Sport Compacts are going for $300 to win. There is a $20 entry fee for the Modifieds, Stock Cars and SportMods, with a $10 entry fee for the Sport Compacts. All classes will be draw / redraw, with IMCA national, regional, state and track points being awarded.

Gates will open at 5 PM, hot laps at 6:45 PM, and racing at 7:15 PM. Grandstand admission will be adults $20, seniors (60+) $18, students (11-17) $12, and kids 10 & under FREE!! Pit passes are $30.
