Rescheduled SportMod Challenge this Friday at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (July 21, 2015) – IMCA SportMod drivers from Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, will gather at the Davenport Speedway, this Friday, July 24th, for the SportMod Challenge. The event was originally scheduled for June 12th, but was rained out.

$2,000 will go to the winner of the 50-lap main. This is the third year for the SportMod Challenge race at Davenport.

Racers from Dubuque, Iowa have dominated the first two SportMod Challenge events. Eric Pollard claimed the victory in 2013. Last year, Austin Moyer led forty-one of the fifty laps to take the win.

Weekly point races will be held in all other classes.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates open Friday at 4:30pm, the grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:15 and racing at 6:45pm.
