Southern Iowa Speedway Set to Host Musco Lighting Fall Challenge

Oskaloosa, Iowa: The Southern Iowa Speedway located on the Mahaska County Fairgrounds in Oskaloosa is set to host the Musco Lighting Fall Challenge Stock Car racing Spectacular. Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th will see two complete race programs being run on the Mahaska County County Monster ½ mile dirt track.

Racing action will feature Stock Cars, Sportmods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts and Non-Wing Sprint Cars both nights. An added attraction will be the addition of the American Iron Racing Series on Saturday night. The AIRS Cars feature race cars from days gone by, mostly cars that were popular back in the 70’s and 80’s.

During the intermission break on Friday night the 2020 SIS point fund of nearly $5,000 will be paid to the regular competitors of the Wednesday night race programs in 2020. Also on Friday night, Dan Dickey of Packwood, Iowa will be inducted into the Southern Iowa Speedway Hall of Fame.

Pit gates will open at 5 pm both days with the grandstands opening at 5:45, Friday night the Hot laps will get underway at 7:15 and Saturday Warm ups will take to the track at 6:30 pm, racing will follow hot laps each night.

The Southern Iowa Speedway continues to offer fan friendly admissions, both nights the children 5 & under will be admitted Free, 6-15 will be $3, Military and Veterans will be $5 with general admission 16 & up being admitted for $10.
