| May 15, 2012

SPRINGFIELD, MO (May 15, 2012) – pringfield,Mo.-Round number 4 of the exciting Transport Graphics at the Springfield Raceway will find some new names at the top of the leader board for Saturday Night Action after a very exciting John Kuntz Memorial Event.

Going into Saturday’s races the Budweiser USRA Modifieds has its third different point leader as veteran engine builder John Yeoman will check in on top of the standings.Yeoman currently holds a 1 point lead over last Saturday’s winner and 2010 track champion Mitch Keeter.

Yeoman has yet to win a main event this season but is getting closer as the opening points night saw a fourth place finish with a third and a runner-up spot last week while Keeter has recorded a third place, sixth and a win.Yeoman started the season very rocky in the “Quick-Quarter” opening 2 specials as it seemed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.He has been very consistant so far during the first 3 Chase for the Championship Events.Yeoman is celebrating his 25th anniversary in the building of oval-track and drag engines.Current USRA Flippin,Arkansas point leader Rob Muilenburg,5-time Springfield champion Jackie Dalton and bobby Pearish complete the top 5 while opening night winner Erik Magard holds close in sixth place.

The USRA Modifieds have had 3 different winners in 3 point events for the Springfield Track Championship Chase and 5 different winners out of 5 events so far.

Scott Drake holds a 22 point lead over Mike Hailman in the USRA Reliable Chevrolet B-Modifieds. Former Midwest Modz Champion Kaleb Copher has quietly moved into third place while Springfield regular Andy Beauchamp holds down fourth place and 1 time winner Brandon Maggard in the number 5 slot. While Drake the veteran out of Webb City has captured 2 point wins while Brandon Maggard grabbed the other victory.Kris Jackson of Lebanon won the first 2 special events this season as drivers a striving to hit their set-up in this very competitive class.

Casey’s General Stores Midwest Modz defending champion Trevor Drake finds himself back in the number 1 spot with a slim 4 point lead over Rusty Forrest while Charlie Gentile,Taylor moore and Gary Krebs complete a very tight top 5.In 3 point events this talented class of drivers has had 3 different winners as Forrest,Charlie Gentile and Drake have grabbed wins.Drake also captured the non-points March Madness event as drivers such as Taylor Moore,Gary Krebs,Todd McGregor,Nathan Gold and others are right in the shawdows of their first win.

Mike Hailman has won in about any type of racing he has entered,Show-Me Racin Series,B-Mods,Factory Stocks,Go-Karts and now the hard charger from Reed Springs has placed a strong hold in the Wheeler Metals Legends has he holds a 17 marker lead over second year driver Caleb McDugle as former champion Justin Comer,Veteran Wayne Johnston and James McDugle complete the top 5.

The racing season is still early as the battle for second is very close

Hailman has won the first 3 chase events along with the Turkey classic make-up event earlier this season with the firsr 3 wins coming from the 5th or 6th row.Wesley Smith is the current point leader in the Young Lion Legend Class with a 11 point lead over last weeks winner Kylan Garner as this new class designed for kids 16 and under provides a great learning class.

The Pepsi Pure Stocks are in a dead even battle as Young Bret Testerman of Miami and defending champion Jack Hamer of Ava are dead-locked at 63 points each while second year driver Philip Schloesser only trails by 2 markers and 15 year old rookie Tyler Thulin only 6 points from the top spot as last weeks winner Lenny Bell completes the top 5.In 3 features 3 different drivers have took home the checkered flag as Hamer won on opening night with Schloesser and Bell each capturing their first ever wins.

The Williams Lawn Care Street Stocks have provided great action despite a smaller car count as Bryan Tillman will enter Saturday nights action as the new point leader after his win last week. The Street Stocks also have had 3 different winners in 3 features as Wayne morris grabbed the opening night win while Springfield’s Jim Reid took his first ever “Quick Quarter” victory and Tillman last week.
