The Lee County Speedway is Set to Host the Sprint Invaders This Friday

Donnellson, IA (April 1, 2013) – This Friday, April 5th the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA is set to host the first of three visits by the Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders, presented by Precision Equipment. Joining the Sprint Invaders on the night will be a STARS Mod Lite Series event paying $300 to win, along with the season points opener for the Budweiser IMCA Stocks Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods and the Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts. 

We would like to encourage the fans to arrive early, as Precision Equipment will have a lot of new tractors on display in the grandstand area. Plus they will be test driving them before the races get underway. 

The pits and grandstand gates this Friday will open at 5:30 pm, with hot laps set for 7:00 pm, and racing at 7:30 pm. 

Grandstand admission will be adults $15, students (7-17) $5, and kids 6 & under FREE! But any fan wearing a racing shirt from one of the drivers racing in the Budweiser IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods, or Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts classes this Friday will get $2 off in the grandstand. To receive the $2 discount, the fan must be wearing a shirt or sweatshirt of any driver in the Budweiser IMCA Stock Cras, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods, or Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compact racing this Friday at the Lee County Speedway. 

Pit passes are set at $30. But all drivers, plus 2 of there crew members, racing in the Budweiser IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods and the Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts will pay a pit pass of $25. But the 2 crew members must sign in with driver, no exceptions. 

There are still a few VIP booths available for rent on the night for $50, these do not include any tickets for the nights races. For more information on how reserve one of the VIP booths, please call Mike Van Genderen at 641-521-0330. 

While mother nature provides plenty of sun and temperatures in the mid to upper 50’s all week, this will allow the track crews to get it worked into top shape for Friday nights events.
