WINSTON, MO (May 14, 2016) – After a touching opening ceremonies honoring fallen Detective Brad Lancaster and deceased driver James Reed great racing action took to the track.

Show-Me Vintage Racers were the first to the track and brought back fond memories of days gone by as they raced side by side throughout the feature. Brian Strong #711 would take the early lead but falter and turn the lead over to John Steenstry #22 who would never look back and charge on to McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Steenstry was challenged late by second place finisher Mickey Fleethart #20. Pole sitter and one time leader Strong would end the night third with Jeremy Turner #11 fourth. Steve Hughs would recover from an early race mishap and place fifth on the night. Heat race winner was Damon Clevenger #6 that developed mechanical trouble taking him from contention.
Casey Shuman’s Non-Wing Sprints would tackle the fast smooth race track next and see veteran driver Chris Parkinson #65 lead every lap and take the checkers tying the record for most wins in the series. Steve Thomas #20 would make a gallant charge to the front and come up a little short settling for second. Ryan Kitchen #21 was in the battle all feature finishing third with Clint Boyles #77 placing fourth. The #12 of Cameron Key would round out the nights top five.

E-Modified was next to take to the track and what a show they would put on for the crowd. Heat race winner Daniel Harris #07 would take the early lead until problems with turn one would force him to the back of the field allowing Justin Asher #74 to inherit the lead and appear to be the car to beat. As the race progressed Casey Burnett #23B would move through the pack passing all challengers and see the checkers first winning his first ever feature. Burnett was tested late by a charging #3D of Matt Dorssom who would settle for second as other heat race winner Kyle Henning #1 was third. Daniel Harris would recover and make a remarkable comeback placing fourth with Justin Asher fading to fifth. Other heat race winner was #20x of Randy Smith Jr.
Pure Stock would see a familiar face as Carson Masoner #20x would pick up feature win number four on the season. Masoner would take the early lead and never look back leading every lap holding off older brother Conner Masoner #47X who placed second. Cody King #29 would again run another solid race finishing third with Tobin Bartlett #28 a close fourth. Chris Christofferson was among the front runners all night and would place fifth. Other heat race winner was #87 Anthony Persell.

Chargers would see veteran racer and Hall of Famer Buz Kaster #54 claim the prize and visit victory lane. Heat race winner Houston Johnson #97 would challenge Kaster early coming up short to place second. Third place would see #54A Austin Johnson with fourth going to Mich Ross #98m and Marty Powell #9p fifth.
USRA B–Modifieds would again be one of the best features of the night with side by side racing to the checkers. Heat race winner Steve Starmer #11s would take the early lead and spin in turn one forcing him to the rear of the field early moving Trever Hunt #44H to then point. Hunt would lead the majority of the feature until other heat race winner Shadren Turner #17t would find the high line and make it work running down the #44h. In the closing laps Hunt and Turner would trade the lead back and forth until the last turn of the last lap as Turner would make the cross over move and beat Hunt to the checkers picking up the win. Hunt would place second by a half car length with big mover of the race Nic Hanes #17x racing his way to third. Fourth place would see Blake Pierce #16 with Chris Wright #66x finding the high line and charging to end the night fifth. Other heat race winner and one time leader Danan Knott #18k appeared to be the fastest car on track until slipping over the birm in turn one forcing him to the rear of the field.
