$10,000 to win in 50 lap event at Marshalltown Speedway, September 19th- 21st.

Marshalltown, IA (August 20, 2013) –
Marshalltown Speedway promoter Toby Kruse has been working for the last several months with PBM, Erson, and World Products to host a major event for the Modified class and the race is drawing near.
The Annual Havoc on the Highbanks at Marshalltown will now be known as the World Nationals featuring a $10,000 pay day for the Modified victor on September 21st.

The Modified portion of the show is non-crate race presented by your local machine shop and engine builder.  Racers that have run a crate engine during the season are eligible to run the World Nationals, they must conform to the non-crate for the weekend event.

The event will kick off on Thursday, September 19th, with the Cookies BBQ Sauce practice night.  Thursday night will be the only night for hot laps.  After hot laps, there will be free food and music for all in attendance.

The Modifieds will run two set of heats on Friday, the second set inverted from the starting order of the first heat. All heat race winners will be awarded $100 courtesy of the supporting machine shops.  The top ten in total points after Friday will advance to the $10,000 to win, 50 lap event, and $500 to start Feature on Saturday.  All other cars will be placed in last chance events on Saturday based on points they earn on Friday night.  The Stock Cars and SportMods will be running two complete shows on each night going after $1,000 to win on each night.  The Hobby Stocks will follow suit with a top prize of $500 each night with the addition of the Karl Chevrolet Dirt Trucks on Saturday night.  The Stock Cars, SportMods, and Hobby Stocks will all be I.M.C.A. sanctioned and the Modifieds will follow the I.M.C.A. rules but will not be sanctioned for this event.  Camping is available on the grounds at $15.00 per night.

Pit passes will be $15 on Thursday, $25 on Friday, and $30 on Saturday.  The grandstands are free on Thursday, $12 on Friday, and $15 on Saturday, children 10 and under will be $2.00 each night in the grandstands.

Times for the event are as follows: Thursday pits at 3:00, Friday pits at 2:00/grandstands 5:00, Saturday pits at 2:00/grandstands 5:00.
