IMCA Mod Madness 50 on tap this Friday at Davenport Speedway

DAVENPORT, Ia. (May 20, 2015) – The top IMCA Modified drivers in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, will be headed to the Davenport Speedway this Friday, May 22nd, for the IMCA Mod Madness 50. $2,000 awaits the winner of the A-Main.

Scott Hogan of Vinton, Iowa, is the defending champion of the IMCA Modified Madness 50. Last year, forty-three modified drivers took part in the event.

The IMCA Modifieds will use a draw/redraw format for the event. Also racing will be the Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, Koehler Electric Street Stocks, Hawkeye Auto IMCA SportMods, and Roto-Rooter 4-Stocks, competing for weekly track points. All racing will be on the quarter-mile dirt oval.

This is the fifth straight year DRT TRAK Racing Inc., has presented the event for drivers of the IMCA Modified class. Other $2,000-to-win specials at Davenport Speedway include the SportMod Challenge 50 on June 12th, the Fourth of July Street Stock Clash, on July 3rd, and the 4-Stock Nationals on August 14th.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates will open Friday at 4:30pm, the grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:30 and racing at 7:00pm.
