Midway Point Battles Are Tight As Racing Back In Action Sat Night Factory Stocks $500 to Win

LEBANON, MO (April 24, 2012) – After 2 weeks of the points chase in the record books,the Midway Speedway in Lebanon finds the early season battles very close going into this Sat night’s racing action as a wild night was put to rest last week.

Action wil feature Factory Stocks,B-Modifieds,Pure Stocks,midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks as this week the Factory Stocks battle for a $500 to win special feature which will give Bonus points to the Factorys that compete.

So far this early season the Factory Stock battle has 3 different drivers sharing the point lead.Last weeks winner and former champion Tim Petty,former champion and opening night winner Bob Gustin and Lebanon’s Brian Schutt all share the number 1 position with 105 points in a 3 way battle.Brandon Waters is close behind with 95 and last season’s rookie Shawn Whitman with 78.

The B-Modified class has a new point leader as strong runs this early season has Ted Ballinger of Halfway as the point leader with a 12 point margin over former 2-time champion Jason Otto,Bill Schaar,Tim Ballinger and Brian Myers complete the top 5 as Tony Moore and Robbie Payne move closer to the top 5.

The Pure Stock class is very close as Rob White takes his winning streak on the line Sat night.Defending champion Matt Young is only 6 points behind White with Larry Flaugher following 13 points out of the lead followed by Bo Alexstates and rookie Caleb Starnes.

Sam Petty has a 2 point margin in the Midwest Modified division over Travis Hil with Tim Ballinger Jr,rookie Billy Pierce of Camdenton and a tight race for 5th with Ben Newell,JC Newell and Chris Cheever.

The Station-wagon machine of Mark Simon brings a 2 race win streak to the track Sat night along with a 5 point lead over defending track champion Joe Francis.Matt Darnell,rookie Brandon Henderson and Shawn Schmidt finish out the top 5.

With the extra money event for the Factory Stocks this Sat,first place will pay out $500 to win while the runner-up receives $300 and $200 to third place.Regular payout for 4th and below as this will be an open draw for heats and heats-up in their feature event.

All other classes will be a normal show and payout

Grandstand gates open at 5 while hot-laps start around 6:30 and Racing at 7:30PM.

The pit gates opens at 4:30.Grandstand admission is only $10 for Adults while pit passes are $25.
