QuincyRaceways Extends 2012 Race Season
 By Jack Walbring

QUINCY, IL (September 14, 2012) – Quincy Raceways owners Paul Holtschlag and Bob Rhinberger have announced that the 2012 race season will be extended to include racing on Sunday September 23 and 30. These race nights will be regular race nights with UMP National, State and Region points awarded to the UMP Super Late Models and Miller Lite UMP Modifieds. The Sunday September 30 race night will be the last chance for racers to score UMP Nationals, State and Region points except for the Eldora race in October, so hopefully some extra cars will show up to take advantage of the opportunity to score points.

The King of the Hill event for September 23 will not be ran as such with the race night being a regular show for all classes. The UMP Late Models and UMP Modifieds will use the Fast 6 Qualifying format and the IMCA Stock Cars, SportMods, Sport Compacts and the Quincy Hobby Stocks using a Draw/Redraw format. IMCA will not allow any points to be earned for these two events on September 23 and 30.

The Pit Gates open at 2:30, Grandstands at 4:00, Drivers Registration Ends at 4:30, Drivers Meeting at 4:30, Hot Laps and Qualifying at 4:45 and Racing at 5:30pm. Adults are $10, Seniors $7, Students 11-15 $5 and Kids 10 and Under are Free as always at Quincy Raceways.
